What University should I apply to?

It is the most crucial question on students' minds as they begin their junior year in high school. In addition, parents worry about which University their child should go to and if they will be able to pay for it when they are born.

Fortunately, DCS students have a clear advantage over other students. Why? Because College and Career Advisory Program at DCS is like no other. At DCS, college counseling is a job responsibility that is not taken lightly. It is central to each student's life. One only has to review the impressive list of universities around the world where DCS's graduates have been accepted and are currently attending like, see now.

Throughout their academic life, DCS students master the skills of learning, the knowledge on which future learning is based, and the ability to demonstrate those skills at University.

Alongside, DCS's college preparatory is a continuous and systematic process that starts when a student arrives at DCS and intensifies as they get closer to their junior and senior years. At DCS, preparing for college is not left to chance.

Throughout the college admission process, a team of professionals led by our knowledgeable College and Career Counselor helps students develop self-assessment and decision-making techniques; these skills enable them to make informed choices concerning their college careers.

Each student develops a list of colleges to research, attends college meetings and workshops, produces a concrete student profile, writes outstanding college essays, participates in college visits; and completes solid applications.

Navigating the college admissions process can seem complex for most but not for DCS students and their families. To ensure a smooth passage, DCS's College and Career Advisory Program provide each student with a team of professionals who will work closely with them. Through this partnership, we can tailor the college process to each student's specific needs, abilities, interests, and budgets.

The college search and selection process is integral to the student experience, and DCS's college and career counselor serves multiple roles. First, she advises students and their families to help them understand and navigate college admission and scholarship.

Second, she works closely with admission officers to help them value our students' experiences and accomplishments in the context of DCS's rigorous academic program and rich extracurricular life.

Finally, and most importantly, each student has a team of enthusiastic advocates that aims to provide a constant source of encouragement and support as they prepare for the next exciting chapter in their academic lives.

The bottom line is that College and Career Advising is something that DCS does exceptionally well. It is central to our mission, vision, and commitment to our families.
